The Rev. Joel Anderle, Senior Pastor

Pastor Joel has served Community Covenant since autumn, 1999. Originally from Michigan, Joel graduated from Hope College (BA) and The Divinity School, the University of Chicago, (MDiv) with studies at North Park Seminary, and he's close to finishing a ThM at Harvard Divnity School. Joel has a passionate interest for the intersection of faith and culture and loves films, music and art. He loves to read. He relishes his eccumenical work, on behalf of the Evangelical Covenant denomination, with the Massachusetts Council of Churches, and interfaith work with the clergy of Peabody. Married to Janine Post, a nurse practioner, they have five children,Micah, Evangeline, Sophia, Magdalena, and Mattias. Joel runs regularly and plays right wing on an adult ice hockey team. Joel's call to faithful vocational life are evident in his preaching and teaching.



The Rev. Darren Catron, Director of Youth and Family Ministry

Darren Catron is on staff as the Director of Youth and Family Ministry. After graduating with a BA degree in elementary education from North Park University, he began ten years of teaching elementary school before receiving a call to life here at Community Covenant Church. Darren was a volunteer youth leader at CCC for six years prior to joining our church staff in 2001. He is currently responding to God's call by journeying through seminary. Darren is joined in worship by his wife, Kim, his daughter, Peyton, and his son, Beckett. Darren comes to us from a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio called Eastlake and enjoys his ongoing relationship with Camp Squanto in New Hampshire and the East Coast Conference Youth Task Force.

 

 

The Rev. Ronn Huth, Assisting Pastor
Ronn joined the staff part time in January of 1990 under Jim Anderson after working fourteen years as the Young Life Area Director for Boston's North Shore. He continued to serve as a volunteer Assisting Pastor under Isolde Anderson and Joel Anderle. Ronn and Bonnie found CCC church to be a smooth transition from Young Life and joined as members in 1991. The Huths live in Hamilton and have 5 adult children and 10 grandchildren all living in the North Shore. Ronn was ordained in 1965 at Calvary Church in Lancaster, PA and received his Pastoral License from the Evangelical Covenant Church in 1992,. Ronn assists in worship most Sundays and delights in sharing the responsibility for the Childrens Sermon. He also loves sharing the pulpit and preaching the Word of God. While ministering at Community Covenant Church, Ronn opened his own real estate firm which advocates solely for home buyers in the Greater Boston area.

The Rev. Dr. G. Timothy Johnson, Assisting Pastor

After graduating from college in 1958, I went to seminary fully intending to become a parish minister. While in seminary I became captivated by the world of medicine and several years later started medical school fully intending to become a family doctor. While working as an emergency room physician in the Boston area I very accidentally became involved with the ABC affiliate, WCVB TV - which led to my joining ABC News full time in 1984. During all our time in Boston, since 1971, we have been members of Community Covenant Church in West Peabody. It is our spiritual home and I am pleased to volunter some time as an Assisting Minister on its staff.

 

 

 

Larry Kamp, Director of Music

Larry R. Kamp joined the staff of Community Covenant Church in March of 2006. He has served as a church musician in the Boston area since 1978 and previously served churches in Revere, Newburyport, Milton, and Brockton. He holds the Master of Sacred Music Degree from Boston University School of Theology and has completed his coursework at BUSTH toward a Doctor of Sacred Theology in Social Ethics and Liturgical Studies. Larry was also a member of the faculty at the School of Theology where he taught, served as the Director of the Seminary Singers, School of Theology chapel organist at Marsh Chapel, and directed the Church Music Training Program. Larry was appointed as the Music Director of the Braintree Choral Society from 1987 - 1990. Larry's primary occupation is Assistant Headmaster at the North Shore Christian School in Lynn where he has taught since 1982. He teaches the classes in general music and Christian Studies, Bible, Church History and Ethics to all grade levels. Larry also directs the Theatre Arts program at the school in addition to his administrative duties. He is the director of the choral program at NSCS. Larry is a member of the Teacher Advisory Board of Facing History and Ourselves in Brookline, a Holocaust and genocide studies organization , made up of scholars, educators and survivors, dedicated to the education of school-age children in the study of perceptions of race and membership. He lives in Lynn with his wife Lianne and their three children - Erika, Nathan and Jesse.
